Thank you for your patience as we have continued to follow the guidance of higher authority and have worked to make decisions regarding the 2020 Cambridge-Isanti In-House Season.
In this time of unprecedented caution, we hope that you understand and support the difficult decision made by the CI Grand Slammers Board of Directors to cancel the 2020 In-House (Rec) Season.
Current social gathering restrictions and guidelines that would need to be put in place would make it near impossible to operate a successful in-house program this summer.
We are committed to this program and will offer it again in the future. If able, we may look at offering a couple of clinics in the fall or next spring to get girls out playing softball!
If you have already submitted payment, you will be receiving a refund in the manner in which you paid. Please allow up to 30 days to receive your refund.
We thank you for your support! This was a tough decision and was not taken lightly.

The CI GrandSlammers Board
The CI Grand Slammers Board met last night to discuss the future of the 2020 summer travel ball season and how to proceed considering the Governor’s latest guidance on youth sports. With a third of the season already lost, no guidance on when games will take place, the availability of fields, the results of our survey and the safety of all our families, we were left with the heartbreaking decision to cancel our 2020 Summer Travel Ball Season.
We are creating a plan to still get softball players out on the field and to provide the best possible experience under the current COVID-19 restrictions. We are planning to offer training sessions/practices by age group.
A full refund of payment received (registration and uniform) will be issued to families in the way it was paid. However, if you choose to register for the summer practice sessions, we will deduct the cost of the training from your refund. Please be patient as we plan to have all refunds processed by June 14th.
COVID-19 has impacted our lives in ways we could have never imagined. This is not what we wanted our season to resemble. This is not the outcome our board wanted, and we tried hard to postpone the decision for as long as possible in hopes that the direction provided would be more definitive and provide a season after all. We feel that we are making the best decision regarding the safety of our families, but still offering a chance to play softball.
We will continue to watch developments and begin planning for fall ball and the 2021 season. Thank you to all families for your continued support of the Cambridge-Isanti Grand Slammers program.
